Job Summary
sxʷta:təχʷəm (Vancouver Indigenous Students Collegium) is a unique space within the First Nations House of Learning (FNHL) and UBC’s Collegia program. sxʷta:təχʷəm provides an Indigenous student-led ‘home-away-from-home’ for 1,200 plus Indigenous students. Guided by the UBC Indigenous Strategic Plan (ISP), this space is a part of a commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment for Indigenous students and support them to achieve success. Indigenous students on and off campus at all levels of study are included in this space and programing to promote partnership, connection, inclusion and leadership for Indigenous students on campus. The Indigenous Collegium Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and delivery of programs and services in sxʷta:təχʷəm.

The position reports to the Director of the First Nations House of Learning. The Indigenous Collegium Coordinator is expected to work in collaboration with FNHL staff, the Center for Student Development and Leadership (CSDL) team and all campus partners who work to support Indigenous students.
