Work Learn jobs offer paid part-time work in a professional setting and are a good first step in your career development. There are currently hundreds of Work Learn positions open for the Summer Session (May–August 2025), including the following six openings at the First Nations House of Learning.

The Bridge Through Sport Summer Program Coordinator is responsible for developing and overseeing engaging educational and recreational programs for Musqueam youth. Working closely with the BTS Coordinator and Musqueam Recreation staff to ensure smooth program delivery, establish guidelines, and support relationship-building opportunities, this role involves coordinating activities with volunteers, community members, and partnering organizations to create meaningful experiences. This position will also contribute to community initiatives, such as promoting healthy living through the Musqueam Community Garden and assisting with special events like the Musqueam Soccer Tournament.

Longhouse Hosts are friendly ambassadors of the Longhouse, playing an important role in the operations of FNHL. Longhouse Hosts are responsible for greeting visitors, supporting programming and activities, and are integral to assisting the Longhouse Building Manager and other staff in providing a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for Indigenous students, Longhouse stakeholders, and Sty-Wet-Tan Great Hall users. Please note that candidates must be available to work during this spring’s Indigenous Graduation Celebration on Saturday, May 24.

Under the supervision of the Indigenous Collegium Coordinator, Student Coordination Assistants collaborate with FNHL to develop innovative and meaningful events that promote student engagement and enhance the Indigenous student experience through šxʷta:təχʷəm. This position offers a chance to build relationships with campus and community partners, assist in the implementation of project management methodologies and techniques, and support the facilitation of training content for šxʷta:təχʷəm Advisors.
